History of Indie folk

When we plan our music video we need to think about how the genre, indie folk, has changed overtime. Therefore, I decided to create a timeline helping me understand when the changes took place.

What have I learnt?

​

From looking into the history of my chosen genre, I can see that despite the creation many years ago, some aspects of the indie folk artist have followed on throughout the years. One key example would be the key use of instruments. Back in 1990s instruments were used to show the audience that it was an indie-folk artist, however we can see that in recent years bands have continued. Therefore, included instruments in my music video I feel is key to fitting in with the genre.
