Biography- The Lumineers

​

The Lumineers are a trio of songwriters from Denver, USA. The independent   band consists of Wesley Schultz (vocals, guitar), Jeremiah Fraites (drums, piano) and  vocalist Neyla Pekarek, who became a part of the group in 2010.

​

Born December 30,1982, Wesley Schultz is the oldest member of the folk band and was the main driving force behind the formation of the group. At the age of 19, Jeremiah's brother and best friend to Wesley died due to a drug overdose. 

​

To aid in coping with their loss, the men took to songwriting to try and cope with their loss. This process began in 2002, however it wasn't until 2011, when they were first signed to a record label.
