Media studies 2.0

By stating that as an audience, we can become producers. This is thanks to sites such as Youtube.

We can see this in most youtube music videos. By looking at the comments we can interact with other people and what they think about the video. However, this could become a negative thing as people no longer have their own opinion, they copy others.

We can see this from the song 'Hotline Bling' by Drake.

We can clearly see here that people can voice their opinions from jsut one click. There are two options to choose when viewing this media product. These are like and dislike, therefore it is very easy for people to voice their opinion.

This is another way people can interact with others. The ability to share on multiple platforms allows others to share it to people who wouldn't of already seen it.

We can then comment on the video and state our opinions. Sometimes this is a postive comment, such as ' I love it' or it can be negative, such as ' He needs a choreographer in the worst way. He is like the drunk guy at the club that everyone laughs at'.

However the interaction doesn't stop there because these negative comments can cause a chain reaction in abuse. This abuse can then form creative pictures or videos known as 'memes' and 'parodies'.
